The Showboat Cruising Restaurant, the Lady Chelmsford, has been on sick leave undergoing painstaking restoration. But sadly, on the 18th of February she quietly sank at her mooring, watched by guests arriving at a function on central pier, docklands.
She is yet to be lifted from the deep so a full assessment of her condition has yet to be made. We'll post updates here when more information comes to hand.
